Walkers Transport is a leading UK transport and logistics company providing pallet collection and delivery, storage, pick, pack and distribution from its bases in Leeds, Manchester, and Midlands. Having partnered with Walkers Transport on previous initiatives, Walkers entrusted Stamina Storage Solutions with a relocation project. This project entailed dismantling approximately 9000 pallet locations from three of Walkers' sites relocating and adding in new to creates them a new 11 acre super site combined storage and Transport in Morley with 12000 storage locations.

The challenge
The primary challenge was to dismantle and move around 9000 pallet locations from three sites. The task also involved reconfiguring and installing pallet racking to create 12000 pallet locations at the new facility. This had to be accomplished with minimal disruption to Walkers Transport's live operations.
The solution
Stamina Storage Solutions appointed a dedicated project manager to work closely with Walkers Transport, ensuring a clear understanding of their requirements. The project demanded agile and effective management to allow Walkers to maintain full operational capacity while the dismantling and relocation were underway. Stamina's SEIRS registered dilapidations team efficiently handled the removal and reinstallation of the racking systems.
The Results
Stamina Storage Solutions successfully completed the project on time and within budget. The reconfiguration significantly enhanced storage efficiency, resulting in a total of 12000 pallet spaces at the new location.
