The challenge

Like most warehouses, our clients operations came with its own challenges that needed to be addressed and considered. With hundreds of product lines in stock, the biggest consideration was to keep pace with the rapid e-commerce sales growth and seasonal peaks while utilising a warehouse space.  They approached Stamina to plan and design a system to be used to store unpacked individual products.

The solution

An innovative solution was needed that could quickly remedy our clients challenges with minimal disruption to on-going operations and seamlessly expand to meet future growth. Stamina proposed a 10 levels of heavy-duty long span shelving solution with chipboard shelves at 5.4 metre high, configured into very narrow aisle (VNA) layout, wide enough width for an man-up truck to manover down the aisle to pick the loose cases or loose items from cartons. In addition to installing the new shelving, the installers at Stamina Storage Systems who are all SIERS approved, dismantling and repositioning the existing long span racking to fully optimise the space in the warehouse to allow for extra stock during peak times (Black Friday) which was just approaching.It was a tight schedule for the installation of the racking, however due to Stamina’s huge stock holding they were able to reduce delivery times to ensure the project was delivered on time
